Urban Wildlife Conservation Day

Like last year our Urban Wildlife Conservation Day is at both South Tract and North Tract. Come enjoy the festivities at one or both areas of the refuge. 

South Tract Activities- 10901 Scarlett Tanager Loop (Visitor Center)

  • Chalk Art in the Visitor Center parking lot
  • Nature walks and bike rides with special access to Tram Loop Trail
  • Pop up archery
  • Kayak Lessons for beginners (Sessions will be offered on Cash Lake at 11:00 am, 12:30 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:30 pm. Registration is required, 301-497-5887)
  • Live Birds of Prey Program

 

North Tract Activities- 230 Bald Eagle Drive

  • Beginner Archery
  • Pellet Gun
  • Fishing (Sessions will be offered at North Tract from 10:00 to 1:00 pm)
