The Friends of Patuxent invite you to join our annual meeting for a special presentation in recognition of the 60th anniversary of Silent Spring by Rachel Carson. We will have a living history presentation by Colleen Webster.

Colleen portrays Rachel Carson (learn more) and brings to life her research, her personal life and legacy, and her connection to the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center, now part of the Eastern Ecological Science Center at Patuxent Research Refuge. This will be a fascinating presentation about Rachel Carson's catalytic and history-making work that has changed the world for the better.

The program will be followed by light refreshments and a social hour. The Wildlife Images Bookstore & Nature Shop will be open until 5 PM for the convenience of program attendees.
