About Rick Dove - WEBSITE

Rick Dove of Crofton's fascination with photography was already evident in the fifth grade when he won a photo contest with an image from his “old” Kodak! (He's since graduated to a Nikon d800 although his daughter, April Price, who often accompanies him, boasts a d850!)

Dove worked for a long time at the US Post Office but took a few years “early out” to pursue the “avocation” that has been a true calling. He'd taken numerous photography courses and attended many seminars, but was now free to be in and record the natural world -- the world that is his “peaceful place” where he can capture and share the “awe and wonder of moments.” Dove names Blackwater and Bombay Hook NWRs and Blackhill Regional Park as favorite places to catch glimpses on film of birds and animals and “anything that moves.”

Dove's website galleries include alligators and crocs, birds and bugs and butterflies, Assateague ponies and Yellowstone bisons – and many more. He has displayed his work in local galleries and regional public art shows. He won two first places from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources with the image of a seal on the beach at Assateague.

About April Price - WEBSITE

"I am an amateur photographer that currently resides in the state of Maryland, about 15 minutes outside of Annapolis, with my family.

I have always had a love for animals and photography; this of course led me into nature and landscapes photography. I have self-taught myself most of the basics of my Nikon cameras thru YouTube or trial and error, each time always trying to perfect my outcomes. I have also attended a few workshops and seminars to better my understanding of certain aspects or trying something new.

I try and get out as often as possible, especially on weekends. Most of my photography takes place in my home state of Maryland or travels to Delaware, Virginia, and Washington DC. I do like to take an occasional journey up and down the east coast to photograph something special and I am always up for a new adventure."
