OPENING RECEPTION & GALLERY TALKS
Join us on Saturdays in July for Gallery Talks with Jean Phillips!
Opening Reception - July 8 at 1:30pm to 2:30pm
Gallery Talks - July 15, 22, 29 from 1:30pm to 2:30pm
Come enjoy the results of Jean Phillips’ hunt for interesting shots of birds, mammals, and insects. Can you find the fox that is different from all the rest, or pick out the animal that did not live in Maryland 300 years ago? View the life cycles of the Bald Eagle and Eastern Bluebird in photos!
Jean is a life-long resident of Germantown, Maryland. After college she taught high-school biology, then worked at NIH in immunology for ten years. She left to raise her two sons on a dairy farm that soon evolved into a produce farm. Her sons gave her a single-lens reflex camera when she retired in 2009, and the rest is history.
Some of Jean’s honors include a Grand Champion photo award at the Montgomery County Fair, exhibitions at Brookside Gardens and for the City of Gaithersburg, and having her photos chosen to illustrate two of the Sugarloaf Trails Association’s brochures.
